I am the grateful husband to Polly (25 years) and the proud dad to three incredible boys: Michael, Noah and Ben.
An accomplished vocalist, my ministry began in high school with my band, Priority. We traveled the state of Kansas ministering to youth groups and churches of all kinds. While a student at Oral Roberts University, I was pulled into the world of opera under the leadership of Dr. Macon Delavan. Dr. D was also an accomplished worship leader and prolific song writer and took me under wing in worship ministry. Doors began to open and I was afforded the opportunity to record an album with one of Nashville’s top producers/songwriters, Dick Tunney. It was then time to hit the road in concert/worship ministry and traveling the nation singing in nearly every possible setting.
After marrying my beautiful bride, Polly, I became the Music Pastor for Bethel Life Center in Wichita, KS. During my eight years at BLC, the Lord groomed me for the lead pastor role and in September of 2001 I became the pastor of Believers Tabernacle in Wichita, KS. God blessed tremendously over 12 years as the church grew in attendance and made a major impact on the city through the outreach efforts of the Wichita Dream Center. The Lord has opened a brand new door of ministry in Wichita through a call to plant The Altar. Already a vibrant community of believers, we are passionately pursuing the presence of God…and purposefully reaching our community with the love of Jesus.
I also co-founded the not-for-profit Dream Center ICT (Wichita) which committed to “helping people dream again…” Our efforts to bridge the gap of poverty, addiction and oppression are already bearing much fruit. God loves Wichita and so do we!
The passionate pursuit of God’s manifest presence and the urgency to take the gospel to the unchurched, irreligious and disenfranchised continues to be the foundation of my calling to Wichita. Partnering with and supporting other pastors is also an important part of my life. God loves His church! God loves Wichita! God loves you!
Thanks for visiting my website. I hope my posts are encouraging and insightful. They are therapy for me as a husband, father and pastor…and most importantly, as a follower of Christ.
